The character only lasted from 1958 until 1963 but I remember him fondly

They first appeared in 1959 and dozens of titles were written by René Goscinny and illustrated by Albert Uderzo until the death of Goscinny in 1977

and I am proud to have a licence to use the images in my screenprints
