Winter in Washington Park Size:20"x30" I looked across the Gastineau

I looked across the Gastineau Channel and noticed the low clouds on Douglas Island with the fresh snow from some rain which had fallen earlier in the day on the peaks

and the float planes were coming back from excursions during the day

Fall is definitely in the air in Denver and the color is also visible along Speer Blvd

I started with photographing some rocks in the lake

Winter in Washington Park Size:20"x30" I looked across the GastineauIn early January 2009 snow fell overnight leaving a nice winter scene. Seeing the snow start to fall on Saturday evening, I planned to wake up early to get out to Washington Park prior to sunrise and see how it had been transformed. It was quiet in the park and as I headed to a tree which I found almost a year ago a slight chill was present but the beauty of the snow covered surroundings quickly made it go away. I photographed this tree once again
